Devin Shallop is a fashion, lifestyle, and portrait photographer based in New York City. His work is inspired greatly by his passion for lighting, travel, and his upbringing in Detroit, MI. Growing up surrounded by art, Devin found his love for photography at an early age. Photography was an outlet for Devin to express himself creatively, while harnessing his unique ability to connect with the people around him.

Before turning his passion into his career, Devin studied photography at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with high honors. Devin went on to lead the photography department for the worlds largest uniform company, Cintas Corporation, directly out of college in Chicago, IL. After three years, Devin decided it was time to take on New York as a freelance photographer, and hasn’t looked back since.

For Devin, creating an image is creating a moment in time, and he works to bring emotion to the set. His ability to connect with people and make his subjects feel comfortable is his biggest asset, and why Devin has been able to continue working as a professional photographer for over 11 years.
